When did you last intentionally slow things down? If you’re used to focusing on productivity & efficiency, slowing down can seem quite foreign.

This series is the ideal way to allow yourself to be skilfully guided in the practices of body sensing, breath sensing, Yin Yoga and iRest® Yoga Nidra to help you slow down, restore, find balance no matter what life throws your way.

Mara is a Psychologist, Yoga Therapist, Yoga & Meditation teacher with a passion for health, healing, and wholebeing. Join her for this series of MoveBreathe & iRest® sessions. She will provide an integrated blend of traditional Hatha yoga, Yin yoga, iRest® Yoga Nidra, breathwork & some psychoeducation. It brings together ancient yogic wisdom with more modern psychology in a practical way to enhance your wholebeing.

iRest® yoga nidra: in many classical variations of Yoga Nidra, you are told what to see, feel etc. iRest® provides techniques to help you inquire into your current, unique experience of seeing, feeling, hearing, sensing, tasting, smelling & thinking. During an iRest® Yoga Nidra practice expect to relax and unravel. You are guided into a deeply nourishing & restorative conscious yogic sleep, where you are offered techniques to help you inquire into your own unique current experience.

It is a research backed technique to reduce daily stress, resolve trauma, decrease depression & anxiety, relieve chronic pain, improve sleep & awaken you to your true nature. It is used in the USA with all military personnel to treat PTSD as well as throughout the world with a range of populations. It is non secular and trauma sensitive.

iRest® helps you restore balance no matter what life throws your way.

The Move, Breathe, iRest® sessions provide the opportunity to deeply nourish, move, stretch, relax, restore the body mind connection AND experience the many benefits of a Yoga Nidra practice. Each session will include all steps of the iRest® protocol but FOCUS on exploring more deeply a different step each time. Participants will also have materials / information they can use at home for personal practice after each session.

Sundays 1.30 – 3.30pm

Starting 21/05, 18/06, 16/07, 13/08, 10/09 & 8/10.

Each session: students will be provided with the use of props, information about the iRest® protocol, opportunity for reflection / journaling, take home practice if desired, tea & nibbles at the community table after the session to share.

Investment: $45 per single session or $240 for the series of 6.
